It’s one of the two periods in the academic year, counted from the first to the last exam at a given faculty, starting at the end of each semester. There is a winter session at the end of the first semester, and a summer session at the end of second semester. The polish word S.E.S.J.A. (polish for session) is considered to be an abbreviation of the words: the Student Elimination System Is Active (polish: System Eliminacji Studentów Jest Aktywny).
The exam session both in full-time and part-time studies lasts 13 working days and 2 or 3 Saturdays in the examination period.
For the exact dates check.
By the end of the sixth week of organized classes, the dean announces the exam session schedule that is available for viewing on the notice board near your Dean’s Office and/or on the faculty website.
You need to bring your valid student ID card to the exam. If you do not have it with you during the checking of the student's identity, you will not be allowed to take the exam.
It’s not mandatory to, but you should dress in business casual style, or at least neat.
The results of the exam in the form of a grade should be entered into the JSOS within three working days from the date of the exam, and no later than on the second working day after the end of the exam session.
Of course, it’s a student’s right to access his/her graded work, incl. examination papers. The place and date of access to the work is determined by, or in agreement with, the teacher.
In the event of a mishap, or with the consent of the examiner and the dean, the exam may be taken at a different date.
